Cable Suspended
3/64” aircraft cable suspension system. Fixtures can be static down-lights: Direct, static up-lights: Indirect, or Rotational (see CSR below). Standard and custom power cord finishes, sleeve options, and canopy colors offer options to match almost any space. Stainless steel cables come in various lenghts (4’ is standard) and are field adjustable.
Cable Suspended Rotational
Using a similar setup to the Cable Suspended system above, the Cable Suspended – Rotational system has 360 degree rotational capacity with mechanical fasteners to lock fixtures in place if desired. This system offers incredible flexibility, light direction control, and a dynamic aesthetic.
Cable Suspended Vertical
Using a similar setup to the Cable Suspended system above, the Cable Suspended Vertical uses a 1/16″ aircraft cable suspension system. Selected fixtures may be Cable Suspended Vertically, creating an alternative design aesthetic. This mounting option can be used to design pendant fixtures.
Surface Mount
(Ceiling Mount or Wall Mount – CM or WM): Fixtures mount directly to the surface. Ceiling or Wall Mount specification denotes the power feed hole location(s). Optional stand-offs allow for fixtures to be mounted from 1/2” to 12” as well as custom lengths if needed.
Rotational Arm Mount
This system uses 1/2” to 5/8” diameter aluminum arms and subtle details in combination with 360° rotational capacity to create some of the most versatile linear fixtures in the architectural market. Standard mounting uses 3-O mud rings (supplied by others) or a 1” optional trim ring for furniture mounted applications. Engineered with no visible fasteners, smooth rotation, and mechanical locking, the RAM system reveals an impressive aesthetic with exceptional versatility.
Canopy Options
Standard (44 Canopy Option)
44 Canopies have two standard options to suit various environment aesthetics. The standard cable suspension system has two 4 – 1/4” canopies with the options of Satin White (SW) or Matte Black (MB) Finishes. These Canopies can also have a Machine Finish for a more striking look. This option does carry a higher cost than standard canopies, but also has an impressive appearance.
Custom
Custom canopies options are available and can look as spectacular in certain applications. Contact the factory with all custom requests or with any question.
Powered Suspension System
Lumium’s Powered Suspension System (PSS) eliminates traditional thick power cables, creating a clean and uncluttered aesthetic that compliments smaller sized luminaire profiles.
Low Voltage class 2 power is carried from remote drivers through a thin 1/8” dual-conductor coaxial suspension cable. The minimal design opens up a new element of creative freedom.
Zero Canopy Options
Zero Canopy is Lumium’s exclusive suspension mounting method to eliminate all visual distractions on the ceiling plane. When used with non-powered aircraft suspension cable, or with our Powered Suspension System (PSS) and remote driver, Lumium’s Zero Canopy option eliminates the need for a thick canopy cover by ingeniously hiding the height-adjustment gripper and electrical connections behind a thin 2-1/4” magnetized access panel. Paint the panel to match the ceiling to create a simple, elegant luminaire suspension system with no visible hardware. Attaches to a standard 4” j-box. Available for hard top mud-in ceilings up to 3/4” thick, as well as suspended ceilings from 1/4” – 1-1/2” thick.
ACT (2ACT)
Lumium’s Zero Canopy option for suspended and acoustic ceilings is a clever solution for removing distracting visible mounting hardware from the ceiling plane. The 2ACT ceiling tile version includes a thin 2-1/411 magnetized access panel, which hides any electrical connections and included height-adjustment gripper. A threaded piston adjusts to accommodate various installation applications and ceiling thicknesses, even thin metal substrates. Conceal the access panel by painting-to-match the rest of the ceiling, or add a custom finish for a pop of color. Tooless entry. Attaches to a standard 4” j-box. Specify access panel finish. Accepts standard aircraft cable or PSS powered suspension cable system only. Do not use 2ACT for line voltage power drop locations.
MUD-IN (2MIC)
Lumium’s Zero Canopy option for mud-in ceilings is an ingenious method for removing all visible hardware from the ceiling plane. The 2MIC mud-in version includes a built-in 1/2 11 flange with a flush 2-1/411 magnetized access panel which hides any electrical connections and included height-adjustment gripper. Conceal the access panel by painting-to-match the rest of the ceiling, and eliminates all visual distractions from suspension hardware. Tooless entry. Attaches to a standard 4” j-box. Specify access panel finish. Accepts standard aircraft cable or PSS powered suspension cable system only. Do not use 2MIC for line voltage power drop locations.
