Wolverine Worldwide

Wolverine Worldwide’s new corporate offices are modern workspaces showcasing the rich culture and brand identity of a world-class footwear manufacturer. Sasaki Architects designed the energy efficient and productive new workspaces that reflect the company’s innovation and creativity. Lighting designers Horton Lees Brogden designed the lighting scheme with a quirky touch to emphasize the company’s playful personality. They specified Ecosense TROV® L50 Asymmetric for ambient lighting and as accent. In a highly original application, the design team used illuminated shoelaces throughout, adding additional flair to the space. Single rows of linear wall grazers bring out the texture and appearance of the shoelaces, while providing an efficient amount of light on stairs, work surfaces and accent spaces. The scope of the project included the primary reception, open and private offices, conference and board rooms, showrooms, and a variety of work studios.
