A seasoned entrepreneur who has already established several
successful ventures in his career, Mr. Mueller is the author
of over 50 technology patents in the solid-state lighting
field and beyond. With the creation of Color Kinetics in
1996, he helped propel the widespread cross-market adoption
of LEDs as an illumination source, ushering in a new era
of digital lighting that continues to thrive. Recognized
as an innovative business leader, he was named Ernst &
Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year 2005. Mr. Mueller
earned a BS from Carnegie Mellon University with a dual
major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor
in Fine Art.
Gary Mueller is currently Chairman, International at Eagle Capital. Prior to joining Eagle Capital, Gary was Chairman and CEO of Institutional Investor, Inc., where he managed 900 people. He was founder, Chairman and CEO of ISI Emerging Markets, a leading data and information company that has 550 employees in offices in 30 countries. He founded ISI in 1994 and led its profitable growth until 2010. Gary received his Bachelor of Arts and M.B.A. from Harvard University. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Frankfurt in Germany. This past year he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Harvard Business School, where he is also on the Board of Advisors of the Rock Centre for Entrepreneurship.
Dr Lys co-founded Color Kinetics in 1997 with George Mueller where and he's received more than 50 patents for his groundbreaking work in advancing LED technology. After the acquisition by Philips, he was the SSL Chief Technology Officer for a year before leaving in 2009. He received his Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jeff Glass is currently a Managing Director at Bain Capital Ventures. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Jeff was President & CEO of m-Qube, Inc. a Bain Capital portfolio company acquired by VeriSign. In 2006, Jeff was voted Erust & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" in New England and was also named to the Boston Business Journal's "40 under 40" list. Prior to m-Qube, Jeff held positions as Founder and President of Transactive Solutions, Chief Operating Officer of Travelers/NETPlus, and a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group where he focused on multimedia and convergence technologies. Jeff received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Amherst College. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Jeff is Chairperson of BUILD Boston, a non-profit helping high school student succeed in school and in life. Jeff is also a founding board member of the Mobile Giving Foundation.
